Enquanto a edição de 2019 do festival de Woodstock parece que vai acontecer, a Rhino reconstrói a histórica edição de 1969 com lançamentos que também prometem ser históricos
Há uma frase que diz que “se você lembra de como foi o festival de Woodstock é porque você não esteve lá”. O festival é até hoje considerado um marco na história do rock e já foi registrado em filme e áudio em vários momentos.
Agora, a Rhino retoma o evento com o lançamento de Woodstock 50: Back To The Garden: The Anniversary Collection. São caixas com 10 e 38 CDs, além de, claro, uma versão em vinil e uma outra, mais em conta, com 3 CDs.
É preciso muito tempo livre
Já que falar da versão de 38 CDs (e 1 blu-ray) e 432 faixas seria um pouco over — são 36 horas de música —, vamos focar na versão (já bastante grande) de 10 CDs. São 162 faixas e, pela primeira vez, com pelo menos uma canção de cada um dos artistas que se apresentaram no festival.
Você vai ter 13 horas de música de artistas como Joan Baez, The Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, e The Who.
Para muitos o festival de Woodstock (musicalmente falando) não foi dos melhores, por conta das condições no qual foi realizado, apesar de algumas performances históricas. De qualquer forma, vai ser preciso preparo físico e bastante tempo livre para ouvir tudo o que é oferecido.
Claro que também há um livro, memorabília e outros mimos para tornar as caixas ainda maiores.
