The film, with debut scheduled for the 5th of July, entertains adults and children
Those who follow the The Marvel Universe is accustomed to the gloomy atmosphere of the movies Thorthe morality of the long Captain Americathe charism of the Iron man and the greatness of the meetings of the Avengers. To balance this universe, we had the film that introduced in the gang the Man-Antand light , with a dose of infantile humor very salient, well to the style of the Disney, owner of the Marvel.
The new feature of the hero, now with a companion of the first line, back to gather the same cast – Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michael Peña – now with the reinforcements and luxurious weight Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne. The director Peyton Reed (the same of the first movie) take advantage of the screenplay and injects doses cavalares of humor. Even the scenes in the more serious are stuffed with some joke or reference that will make the audience laugh.
For those who follow or not the saga of the Marvel heroes
Of course, there are some subtramas and quotes that only will be understood by those who follow the films of the Marvelbut even those who have not seen any of the releases from the studio will have fun, which qualifies the film to become a blockbuster, even though not in the same scale of Black Panther or Avengers.
The story, which takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War and in parallel to the events of Avengers: Infinite Warnor it matters that much, although it should connect with the next adventure of the Avengers.
Have the always beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer and the competent Laurence Fishburne in the cast will raise the expectation of a good part of the audience, but who steals the scene is Michael Peña, whose character – the best friend Scott Lang/Man-Ant – has gained much prominence and is responsible for some of the best comedic moments of the script. The role of the Peña overlaps up to the village, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Already Michelle Pfeifferwho lives Janet Van Dyne – the Vespa original, the wife of the Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and the mother of the new Vespa (Evangeline Lilly) – is part of the main plot of the film, but deserve an end the better (if is that what happens is the end). The role of the character played by Laurence Fishburne it is the weakest of all, and seems poorly constructed and ambiguous too. There are more characters, but I honestly don't do there much of a difference.
More than a film-cap
What could be easily classified as a film-cap to fill the vacuum between the Avengers 3 (Infinite War), and 4 (still no title), turns out to be a beautiful program, thanks to the setting direction, the excellent cast, the chemistry between the two protagonists and the obvious idea it did not take very seriously.
If you thought that Guardians of the Galaxy it was good and funny, do not leave to go to the movies check out Man-Ant, and the Wasp. It is a programão!
I have tried not to give too many spoilers, I can't help but warn you not to go out of the projection room before you watch the two scenes extras that are displayed during the credits of the film.
The future of the missing heroes
I have the impression – and I make it clear that is not an opinion based on information that the executives at Marvel and Disney keep some surprise for the fans. It is not possible for them to keep in the script where a large number of characters were wiped out in the final adventure of the Avengers. There is a leave given by Dr. Strange, which leaves me with the flea behind the ear and the destination of Man-Ant seems to have no connection with this leaves.
